A Canada-based pan Igbo socio-cultural organization, Igbo Cultural Association of Saskatchewan, has commended Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State for his policies and key achievements in the area of maintaining peace and security in the state.

Five Canadians Honoured as “Enyi Ndi Igbo (Friend of the Igbo)” at Igbo Day 2019 in Saskatchewan
On August 3, Nigerian-Canadians living in the prairie regions of Canada celebrated Igbo Day of Arts and Culture in style. Sponsored by the Igbo Cultural Association of Saskatchewan (ICAS), with support from the Multicultural Council of Saskatchewan (MCoS) and SaskTel, Igbo Day offered a blend of cultural and artistic displays, beautiful costumes and Nigerian cuisine.

Canada's Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Wishes Everyone a Happy Igbo Day in Regina
As the Igbo community of Saskatchewan prepares to celebrate their Nigerian-Canadian heritage on August 3, Canada's Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness Honourable Ralph Goodale has sent greetings to the Igbo Cultural Association of Saskatchewan (ICAS).
Writing on behalf of Prime Minister Trudeau and the Government of Canada, Minister Goodale expressed pleasure to extend greetings to everyone who will be attending Igbo Day in Regina.
"As Canadians, we draw strength from our diversity. The growing Igbo community here in Regina, across the province and across Canada espouses that sentiment and plays an important part in our mosaic of cultures," Minister Goodale said.

ICAS was established in 2001 with the aim of uniting all members in the province that share our common beliefs and also to promote Igbo culture in our society. ICAS has made large strides since it’s inception and this resulted in the launching of our very own Masquerade dance group in 2002.
